uncle lou cleans up his act

i saw this on etsy so i decided to make it myself with some fleece rather than pay 12 bucks plus shipping and handling.  very basic, very easy.  i used a button to fasten it around his collar.  not so sure uncle lou likes it though...i think he looks like a jaunty gentleman.

don't mind the receipt, that's for a different post.

quick curtain fix

i bought some curtains for my dining room and it was really annoying me that they were too short.  i decided to add a bit of fabric to lengthen them.  a few straight stitches later...basically the easiest sewing machine project ever...and they touched the ground.  i think they look pretty good if i do say so myself!
